At Cilla’s Conference Centre, our commitment extends beyond providing premier event and corporate spaces. We believe in actively fostering hope, health, and resilience within our community. Led by our Managing Director and CEO, Mrs. P. Mabhena, we take deep pride in giving back and supporting the vulnerable, standing by our community even during challenging times.

1. Partnering for Young Hearts: Brave Little Hearts Zimbabwe

We maintain a deeply rooted partnership with Brave Little Hearts Zimbabwe, an organization dedicated to supporting children born with congenital heart conditions and childhood heart disease.

  • Family Support & Care Packages: During challenging lockdown periods, Mrs. Mabhena and the team actively provided food hampers, clothing, and essential support to families navigating heart health challenges with their children.
  • Mpilo Hospital Cardiac Unit Support: To celebrate World Health Day and deepen our community impact, Cilla’s Conference Centre donated essential bedding and curtains to equip the Mpilo Cardiac Unit. We additionally surprised attending parents and delegates with food hampers to bring comfort during the unit's opening.
  • Advocacy & Awareness: We proudly join hands with the community annually to mark International Heart Awareness Day, participating in awareness walks and advocacy campaigns to champion the message that #heartlivesmatter.

2. Mobility & Community Empowerment

Believing that mobility is a fundamental pillar of dignity and independence, our leadership works directly on the ground to assist those in need.

  • Rotary Club Partnership: Mrs. P. Mabhena has been actively involved in assembling and distributing custom wheelchairs in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bulawayo South, ensuring gift-of-mobility assets reach vulnerable individuals directly within our locality.
